@Whynot I didn't realize that these were tougher than usual months for you. I'm only a year faded and sometimes still get taken off guard by emotional setbacks from the cult. Thanks for keeping it real and helping me realistically see that it's okay to not have everything figured out and put behind us so neatly. You're a wonderful parent who has made great sacrifices to ensure your little ones will never go through what we're going through now. Good on you.

@mentalclarity And thank YOU for sharing many of your own insights with me via PM/email when I first joined. I can only imagine how much more you've gained emotionally and intellectually post graduation now. Keep going strong :).

yesterday, i had a conversation with my neighbor during which i explained the greatest reason why i wanted to raise my kids out of the jws: the fear (which translate to hate) jws have for everyone showing no interest in becoming part of their group.

in order for him to quickly relate to what i meant i asked him to imagine, for a moment, he was the biggest racist he has ever known, forced to live in a black neighborhood.

@caves I'm so happy this resonated with you. Your rapid growth since joining this forum has been startling and inspiring. I know haven't been very active the last week thanks to my own cult heartaches plaguing me, but please know I see you. You are a strong man for giving advice and support to others while juggling your own pain. There will be lags up ahead (hello - I'm experiencing one now), but that's what we're all here for when this kind of thing happens. Governing Body trying to control marital relationships

4 years ago during the circuit overseers visit he asked a rather innapropriate question from the platform.

i say it's innapropriate because i think it's wrong to tell happy married couples how to love each other and much more wrong it is to tell them they should love their children less.. he said: "mothers, who should you love more your children or your husband?

" i think most mothers will quickly say you should love your children more.

Too often I've seen and heard of cases where the mother's love for her spouse exceeded her children to the extent of standing by him as he physically abused them. These children did not grow up to be very happy. Not only did they not respect their mother's decision, but they also held her equally accountable for their physical and emotional scars.

Kids in my kingdom hall

i think my last post i said i went to a new congregation,i'm going to just talk about some of the shit i have seen in my congregation.. there was a kid trying to talk to a adult next to him i think it was his dad,the kid just started taping him because he wanted to tell him something and the dad gets mad then boom the kid gets elbowed.i look around to see if anyone saw him do that to his kid and nope or they didn't want to say anything about it and just like wtf.. in my old congregation,the younger kids would do random stuff in the middle of the meeting to not get board.

when the mom or dad got mad i would see then get dragged to the back of the kingdom hall and hear them start crying.when i was still mentally in i just didnt think about it at all when it would happen but when i woke up im just like thats fucked up..

@LV101 Hey, thanks for the support. Sorry for sullying your experience on the forum today. As for @OUTLAW's childhood memories in the Kingdom Hell's parking lot... poor bastard. As a parent now, if I saw that happen to another child, I'd collect the a abuser's head. So wrong. They wouldn't do it to a damn animal, so what makes them think it's okay to do it to a defenseless infant?
